A social scientist researching what underpins complex social behaviours. I firmly believe that if we can understand people’s behaviour, we can design behaviour change interventions and social policies that are beneficial and fair for all.
My research aims to build a robust understanding of human behaviours, to ultimately improve people’s lives.
I have spent the past four years researching how to shape social behaviours – that benefit communities and individuals. My PhD explored public perceptions and support for climate policies – aiming to help policymakers design fairer, community-informed policies.
My other research has included designing novel Machine Learning tools to automatically analyse free-text data and advising government departments on using this for policy data.
Additional projects have supported local governments to reduce employee car dependency, guided companies to reduce water-usage, and explored ways the UK government’s climate advisors could use behavioural science in policy making.
